For many, 42 Québec becomes a second home. This is why everything has been thought out to ensure the comfort and safety of students.
Open Space
Divided in 2, there are 134 unassigned workstations. The open and bright space is conducive to collaboration, which is necessary to succeed at 42 Québec.
Focus area
There are 74 unassigned workstations. In this space, we work in silence and the light is dimmed to improve concentration.
Le Bocal
Flanked by windows on all sides, it allows the 42 Québec team to keep an eye on the work areas…and the students! The staff, the person in charge of student activities and the marketing team are all here.
The Team Rooms
Colorfully decorated to stimulate the brain and facilitate teamwork. Its whiteboards often features doodles that sometimes make us wonder if students are quietly turning into mad scientists!
Game Room
A student favorite with video game consoles, board games, babyfoot and pool tables. Music played by talented students is also a common occurrence.
The Valhalla
A screen-free break room on an IT campus? Yes, because it’s important to relax too. There are yoga mats, rocking chairs and beanbags for a moment of meditation or a little nap.
Desjardins Lounge
Features: The core of 42 Québec with its mural by artist MC Grou, donated by our partner Desjardins. Its modular furniture allows us to organize different activities and offers an additional work space to the students.
Petal Auditorium
Our state-of-the-art auditorium is provided by our partner Petal. Speakers and professionals come here to meet with students.
Cafeteria
With several refrigerators, microwaves and well-stocked cupboards with cutlery, there is everything you need to prepare a meal, or to enjoy the restaurants around campus. Yes, there’s a coffee machine!
Technology
208 iMacs are scattered in the 3 work areas. A bold choice, based simultaneously
on the energy consumption of these computers, their versatility to allow for
development, their sturdiness, and aesthetics.
Accessibility
In addition to an outdoor ramp and elevators to access the campus, 4
workstations are adapted to wheelchairs.
Modularity
Most of the furniture can be moved and rearranged to suit different
needs, whether for the comfort of students or for the holding of activities. It is
therefore possible to remodel a stage into a counter, or to substitute a chair for a
balance ball.
In Beautiful Quebec City
Situated in the heart of the Saint-Roch district, nicknamed the technology district, 42 Québec finds its extension outside with direct access to a lively environment.
Only a few meters from the main entrance, there is an urban park, a multitude of cafés, restaurants, and local businesses as well as an elevator leading to the upper town of Quebec.
In addition to paid parking in the vicinity, numerous bus routes and a bicycle network stop just around the corner from the 42 Québec campus. It is possible to park your bike inside the building.
